Print jobs in order with Fiery

Hello,  I print birthday cards with my old Fiery and docucolor 250.  The cards are sorted correctly when I send them up.  Let's say I upload pdfs named job, the Fiery will label them job.1 job2 job 3 etc but when I try to sort and print them the Fiery will sort them as job.1 job 10 job 100, job 101...

Why won't it sort 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc.

What am I missing?

Re: Xerox Workcentre M118 and win 7 - 64 bit

Hi All,

I am not sure which specific drivers you are using but PostScript is an option on the M118.  If you try to print to the device with a PostScript Driver and do not have the PostScript option, all you will get is gibberish output (PostScript Code).

Hope this helps.

Thank you,

Re: Xerox Workcentre M118 and win 7 - 64 bit

Hello,

my M118 is on 1.70.13, LPD configured to "Auto"  and using both the PPD driver or the vista drivers it worked for me.

This device has limited support and only basic printing will be available. But it will print.

Tested on mu win7_x64

Re: Xerox Workcentre M118 and win 7 - 64 bit

Dear Radu,

I've tried all the Xerox drivers that I can find but the result has always been the same: hundred of pages with nosense lines.

I hope there will be an answer from Xerox to our problem with Windows 7 drivers (both 32 and 64 bit)

Greetings

Re: Xerox Workcentre M118 and win 7 - 64 bit

Hello,

Seems i have the same problem with this printer and i have it in the network, and whenever i try to print something on the M118 i get tons of gibrish pages.

Got the driver from the Xerox website and I have the problems like the one before me, yet i have Win 7 32 bit.

Is there any solution to this? I was happy i could print directly there and now I`m so disappointed.

Yours,

Radu Ilinca.

Re: Xerox Workcentre M118 and win 7 - 64 bit

Dear Fabio,

thank you for your tip but istalling any driver (global or not), of any country available, the result is always 100 pages with unsense stripes of letters, numbers and simbols.

Have you got any other suggetion to help me?

Best regards
