I have a problem installing the drivers if this machine in my new pc.
The driver installation runs fine but when I try to print a test page a get a corrupted text file of 100 pages !
What should I do to fix this ?
-which is the correct driver I have to load ?
-does the printer require a firmware update maybe ?
thanks a lot,
Thanks Fabio but trying to do like you say it is working in the same manner. Perhabs i need more details or if you prefer, lem me know if there is any procedure that I've got to follow.
Other thing, from your name I suppose you are italian. Me too. Answer in Italian if you can and prefer.
i live in belgium , so dont speak italian :) , just a little bit :)
try to install new drivers , but start with NON global drivers , that should sort it out
thank you for your tip but istalling any driver (global or not), of any country available, the result is always 100 pages with unsense stripes of letters, numbers and simbols.
Have you got any other suggetion to help me?
Seems i have the same problem with this printer and i have it in the network, and whenever i try to print something on the M118 i get tons of gibrish pages.
Got the driver from the Xerox website and I have the problems like the one before me, yet i have Win 7 32 bit.
Is there any solution to this? I was happy i could print directly there and now I`m so disappointed.
I've tried all the Xerox drivers that I can find but the result has always been the same: hundred of pages with nosense lines.
I hope there will be an answer from Xerox to our problem with Windows 7 drivers (both 32 and 64 bit)
This device has limited support and only basic printing will be available. But it will print.
Tested on mu win7_x64
I am not sure which specific drivers you are using but PostScript is an option on the M118. If you try to print to the device with a PostScript Driver and do not have the PostScript option, all you will get is gibberish output (PostScript Code).
Hope this helps.
