I found a couple of articles to help you resolve the issues you're having, please use the links below.
There are a few things that could be happening. You could have a genuine cartridge but not the right one for your region or it could be a metered cartridge for a non metered device or vice versa. I would recommend checking the part number off the old cartridge that was last known to work in your device, and see if that matches exactly the part number of the new cartridge.

Inserted a new Yellow Toner cartridge unmetered by Limeink, which I have done 3-4 times before. I have two of these printers. Never an issue. Printer will not recognize the Yellow Cartridge. I have tried with two more yellow cartidges and still wont recognize.
Also, error is preventing me from using scanner or fax machine as well.
Please help.
