Re: activation code - Color 560

I'm pretty sure that the activation code is just to continue using Metered toner, as in , you won't be able to add another one. You should still be able to use the ones in it.

But when they run out, they will need to be replaced with the sold variants.

And yes, just the toner have the CRUM chips in them, drums and fuser do not.

I can't provide a 100% answer though, different scenarios in different regions with different devices, but I have yet to hear of one just stopping, though the messages will get annoying

activation code - Color 560

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi

I bought a Xerox X560 a year ago on an auction.

Sinds a few days, I get the message that I need to enter a new activation code.

I've called the Xerox support, but they can't help me. There's no active support contract, and I can't get one since I didn't bought my machine with Xerox itselfs.

They told me - although my toners are over 70% - that I have to replace all my toners with sold ones.

Will the problem be solved when I buy new sold toners. Or do I need to replace other supplies to? Or is there another solution?

They are not really helpfull and in a few days, my machine will be broken ..

thx for your feedback,

kind regards,

Natascha
