Re: failed connection

Hi BobA,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. I think what you are seeing with your new computer is that it must have wireless signal.  The printer is trying to connect wirelessly. Please go to the support site for your Docuprint CP225w and search on WPS for instructions to set up the wireless connection or to disable it. Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

failed connection

Product Name: Other - specify product in post
Operating System: Windows 10

My Docuprint  CP225 is connected through a USB cable to a new Inspiron 3475 AIO computer and has been working without a hitch for over 6 months. All of a sudden it will not communicate with the computer and Windows tells me the printer is off line.

I am unable to bring it back on line.  Reinstalling the driver does not work.  Plug and play does not work. Under Add Printers & scanners Windows is able to find the printer but when told to install it, a blue window asking for a WPS pin comes up. This has never happened before when I moved the printer to a new computer.

Where do I find this pin or how do I avoid this requirement?
