Thank you for using the Support Forum. You do not mention the model of DocuTech you are using but you might try searching on the support site for your model.  If you are unable to find information then please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

finishing instructions for PDF

hello all,

 

my company has a docutech printer. Some ten years ago, I have written an application to print postscript documents to it. The application decided for each document how it had to be finished (printed on A3 or A4, paper tray, booklet and so on) and put some instructions into the postscript so that the printer did the right thing.

 

Now that it becomes more likely we also want to be able to print PDF, I would like to know if it is possible to instruct the printer in some way how to finish the PDF document. Without intervention of an human operator.

 

I am sure this must be a frequently asked question, but I can't find the proper search terms to find it by googling. Can you help me?
