Re: ghosting with 3500!

Have you checked the usual things? like paper type and so forth?

If it's not the fuser, nor the paper, then it's probably the discharge process.

while the machine is printing, open the lid before it goes through the fuser, and see if the distortion is there.

If it is, it could be the drum.

The drum is part of the toner on this machine, I suggest you replace the toner if possible.

Best Regards

ghosting with 3500!

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have a Xerox 3500 B&W printer. It's started printing a ghost image  of the page 3 3/4" below the original image.

I contacted Xerox - Office Group Support <> and they said I would need to replace the fuser. OK I replaced the fuser and it still is ghosting as much as ever. I printed well over 25 pages to make sure it wouldn't clear up , still just as bad. I spent well over $200 on a new fuser! I can't return it since used it. So far Office Group Support has not replied.
So any ideas.
