metering and upgrades

We used to have auto metering and it is no longer happening - disabled. Instead we are charged $10/month. Do we need to manually enter on this website or can we get auto metering re-established to remove this $10 fee? I also noticed the last software upgrade on our unit (SN XKP543889) was done in 2013 and auto upgrades has been disabled. Anything we can do here or should do to restablish these automatic items?

Hi mmelan, the firmware you are using does not support remote meter reads as it uses an older version of encrypted communication. You get the latest firmware here, Drivers & Downloads - WorkCentre 7525/7530/7535/7545/7556 - Windows 10 x64 - Xerox

Once you have upgraded to the latest firmware, your device should connect automatically. If not, you can use this page, How to Connect to Remote Services (xerox.com), to help configure the device.
