multiple printer listed in Device-Printer control panel

Hi,

I just purchased a FX Docuprint CM225/228 for my windows 10 OS. I have had numerous issues printing out pages: the main problem being mismatched page sizes. I temporarly fixed it after reading similar problems on this board.

But, I now have multiple printers listed in my Control Panel. There is

FX DocuPrint CM225/228 fw-00000

FX DocuPrint CM225/228 fw-00001

FX DocuPrint CM225/228 fw-00002

Then

FX DocuPrint CM225/228 fw-00000PS

FX DocuPrint CM225/228 fw-00000FAX which is for my fax so, no issue there.

I updated preferences for paper size on all the above printers but, not sure if that will cause other issues, especially if I later want to create 2up pages using WORD.

Why is this?

Since they are just duplicates they can be removed simply. Right-click the ones you don't want and choose Remove device.

I would suggest the removal of

FX DocuPrint CM225/228 fw-00000

FX DocuPrint CM225/228 fw-00001

FX DocuPrint CM225/228 fw-00002

No idea why you would change preferences instead of just changing the paper per job in the job settings, and no idea how you installed multiple versions of one driver, I just did it with a manual install as well as a tool install with the Setup.exe thing and neither created additional installations beyond the 2 I intended.

I did it on Win 10 1511, and Win10 x64 1511 and 1607 (Anniversary)
