Re: paper type lost since alt boot install - on firmware 072.010.124.23401

No it's after replacing the original clone file that some settings are lost like these of the paper tray, only some litte settings are lost.

Most of the problems are solved, but still the problem from "start can not be used" who is only solved after ar eboot and even with some single touch buttons can't be solved with a reboot.

Beste Jeroen,

Problem is solved if you do the settings manual again, but it's a bug in the alt boot upgrade firmware

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Dear all, Xerox did an ALT boot + firmware update for some other problems...

Before we have:

  • tray1: FIX normal A4
  • tray2 : FIX recycle A4
  • tray3: FIX custom1 A4
  • tray 4: FIX normal A3

After upgrade/ALT boot setting from tray 3 is lost.

Tray3 after upgrade is : FIX normal A4,

so al normal mails are now printed on letterhead paper (custom1) :(

PS: we are using CUSTOM1 instead of standard letterhead because he doens't have to turn the paper if you use custom1, = faster printing...

Again a new mistake, like in the past, each firmware upgrade, new problems.

We are now on firmware 072.010.124.23401 on printers 7830 and 7845, problem now reported on a 7830 but I guess it will be the same problem on the others.

Setting again changed manually and will be solved.
