Hi kourtina,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solutions for Lines and Streaks of one color and the solutions for Colored LInes on Prints. If the solutions do not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
At first I noticed that the colour was not uniform, more yellow on the left and right side of the page, while in the middle it seemed to be ok. The result was that the printout was unacceptable, something like a more yellow large band on the left, then a smaller band that was ok and again a large yelowish band on the right (on the left it is more yellow than on the right), but the bands do not have clear boundaries between them. Test pages were not really helpful, I could barely see the problem in uniform colours. I printed 3 pages from corel, 20% K and 20% Y 20%K and 20% C, 20%K and 20%M to see if the problem was more yellow on the edges or no yellow in the middle. There is yellow in all pages, even in those that there was supposed to be no yellow at all! following the same pattern I derscibed before. I changed the y imaging unit with k and nothing happeneded. I opened and removed the accumulator belt and found a small pile of yellow toner on one of the rollers Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly where because I cleaned it. Cleaning this didn't make a difference either. I opened it again a few days later, after having printed a few copies, and it was still clean. I used the wand to clear the lenses too, nothing happened.
Pleas help me! Could it be the developer? Should I try cleaning the sensors? the blade cleaning the belt? my first thought was the developer but it doen't make sense to me now because I thought that if there was a problem with the y developer beads I would get less yellow but again I may be wrong. Thank you very much.
