phaser 7760dx translucent paper printing problem

We have tried all paper type settings for MPT (both short edge and long edge) and actually none of settings including Special and Transparent was able to allow the printer to take the custom paper.

EDIT:

actually I have just noticed something weird. there is a sticker on Tray 2 (after opening) stating that Transparent paper can ONLY be used in Tray 2 ... so MPT wouldn't work for by design?

The Phaser 7760 has a transparency sensor in the paper path to detect if the paper type is set correctly because transparancies require a different speed and fuser temperature. The 7760 is likely seeing your media as transparancy. Try setting the paper type to transparency and see if the problem is cured.

Hi,

we are trying to print translucent pages (for a letter size brochure) on our Xerox Phaser 7760DX, but no matter what paper settings we use it always complains Wrong Paper Type and jams it.

trying to use MPT tray.

Does this printer even support using translucent paper?

we are trying to use a 24lbs paper called Translucent Gold Flora (8.5x11), it doesn't want to go through on neither of paper type settings ...
