Hi El,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please try the following:
Verify the printer's power sources and isolate the printer
- Turn the printer off.
- Disconnect all cables from the printer.
- Plug the power cord into the printer and directly into a known-to-be-good, wall outlet. Make sure the printer is not plugged into a surge protector, power strip or uninterruptable power supply (UPS).
 |
Note: If the problem only occurs when the printer is plugged into the surge protector, power strip, UPS or one specific outlet, then the problem is with that device or outlet. |
- Turn the printer on. If problem persists service will be required. If problem does not reoccur go to the next step.
- Turn the printer off.
- Plug in one of the cables and turn the printer on. If the problem reoccurs the problem is with the cable, network or peripherial. If the problem does not reoccur repeat this process of elimination with the other cables to determine the source of the problem.
