There are many users pcs continued to be connected I dont see why any of the end users would be using anything that has been listed, anything else is disabled from the mfc. There is someone telling me that the job notification of the driver also use these ports. This is the only thing that would make sense for the end users pcs to be connected to the copiers ip address for extened amounts of time. It also would explain when i turned off the bi directional communication it stopped as well.

EIP apps (App Gallery and App studio obtained)
Smart eSolutions/Remote Services
Remote Control Panel
Web based Print Driver installer
File repositories (HTTPs as protocol)
Firmware upgrade tool
Only why to know exactly what it is that causes it is to set the printer to Wireshark everything for an hour, then look at that and compare it to the Event logs of the PC/PCs doing it
Im seeing a great number of pcs that are accessing something thru ports 443 and 80 from our firewall. They dont usually access the web page of the machine is there any thing else that uses these ports. We have also turned off bi-directional communication and snmp to clear up more traffic but these pcs still connect on these ports. Is there someting im missing?
From a print standpoint, those cover most bases assuming the client is a PC.
Airprint/MOPRIA/Cloudprint add more, of course managing the device needs port 80 and 443 (Web server in it)
Bi-Directional communication is via SNMP (161-162)
what ports do you need so you can connect to the printer and print to it
atm i have added these ports,
IPP which is port TCP 631
LPR/LPD - TCP 515
Raw - TCP 9100
