printer jams every time - paper printed halfway out, brand new printer

the printer is stuck on the error "Paper Jam Open Rear Door and ...", it's not even doing anything.

I had this same issue, it printed halfway on a brand new printer. This worked for me, hope it helps.

The printer likes to know exactly what size paper is in the tray, otherwise it might get confused. For example, if you have 8.5 x 11 sheets in tray 1, make sure the printer settings match. Click on Menu > Settings > Admin Menu > Printer Settings > PaperSizeSettings for tray 1 and select 8.5 x 11.

I also have this issue. Plus message keeps saying to load bypass tray and will not select paper from main tray

I have the same issue. Mine is on an iMac and it jams every time it tries to print a test page. I have checked the driver and it is set up for A4. When I set the printer up, I selected A4 as the default paper.

I just bought a Phaser 6510 - it works wireless for my old Apple laptop but will not print wireless from my Dell laptop. Does not matter which tray I use. The print starts and gets about 3/4 printed then jams or stops. I open the back and easily pull out paper. Has been doing this on everything I try to print from Dell laptop. Never a problem with Apple laptop.
