printer settings overwrite print settings from the software

Product Name: Phaser 3260
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Hello

It seems that printer settings overwrite print settings from the software. Example - If I want to print a document, with a portrait orientation, two-sided printing, I need to open printer settings and adjust settings in printer software otherwise it will use last print setting remembered from the previouse print (let's say landscape orientation, one sided-print). 

How to force printer driver to use settings from software (eg. Word) as default.
