Hi All
I've now also testet it with the Port changed to LPR.
But the problem still exist.
And again, the Problem exists on about 4 Printers (and we have alot more, all with exact the same settings) for some users, not for all.
I'm able to print whitout the popup and other usere get this popup.
kind regards
If its the same printer it is an issue with their profiles, what, I don't know, but if its the same network/printer/driver/port and settings, Xerox has nothing to do with the problem
Hi gabiene
Thanks for the hint.
The Port is on TCP/IP and there are no open / queued jobs.
I've the port still on RAW, as this is generating smaller packet headers and we had this since ever with RAW without any issues.
Why does this issue show up for some users but not me?
Hi,
Most of the issues with non printing jobs and „Offline” messages are from driver settings.
First check to see if there is no job in the print queue (delete any job if exist).
Check the port to be on TCP/IP and not WSD. MS convert the port to WSD. If it is so, click right on the print driver and click on „Printer Properties”, click on „Ports” tab, click on „Add port”, select „Standard TCP/IP port” , click on „New port” and set an IP and in the next window click „Finish”.
After that click again on ''Ports'' tab click on "Configure port" and change from RAW to LPR, at the Queue name write "lp" and be sure to unchecked "LPR Byte Counting Enable" and "SNMP Status Enabled".
Gabi
Any further things i could try?
kind regards
Hi Flash,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please try changing the port to LPR per the instructions HERE. If changing the port does not clear up the issue please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hi all
Some of our useres always receive the following error message "printer status is not available at this time"
- Printers are installed on a Windows Server 2019 (64bit)
- Same issue on a other location with a Windows Server 2008 R2
- We have installed this print driver "Xerox GPD PS V5.675.6.0"
- we are communicating over RAW port 9100 without SNMP
I'm already looking forward for an answer.
kind regards
