Re: psct8560.exe Crash

Solution was to install the driver's off xerox website

When we originaly set up this printer the driver that was on the site here for it did not work correctly. So we grabed the driver directly off the printer (Witch is the driver witch stoped functioning right on one of the computers.

So we are running two diffrent drivers on two identical systems and neither is tossing a error now and PSCOUT is working correctly on both.

FOR NOW!

Thank you all for your replies

Re: psct8560.exe Crash

Hi aft3rmath,

You attempt the following steps:

  1. Unistall the current print driver.
  2. To do Delet the print queue,
  3. use the Server Properties of the local workstation to remove the driver
  4. navigate to spool folder and remove any remainer of the print driver
  5. Install version 5.58.10
  6. ! When installing pleae select local install instead of network install !
  7. After instalation Navigate to Printer Properties >  Advanced > Bi-Directional > Select Communicatio item to Off and Job Notifications to Off.
  8. Attempt a print job.

Hope this does the trick.

Thanks

Re: psct8560.exe Crash

Sry, did not specify.

You do need to turn SNMP off in two places, and also turn job notification off if you have it.

In Properties -> ports -> configure port, turn off "SNMP Status Enabled" & in Properties -> Configuration -> Bi-directional communication, turn off both SNMP and Job notification if you have that option.

If this does not work, I would guess a clean install would work.

Uninstall the printer, and the driver from Server properties in Printers and Faxes.

Then go to c://windows/system32/spool/drivers/w32/3/ and locate the PSCT8560 file there, delete it and reinstall the printer.

Re: psct8560.exe Crash

Heya!

This program is the so called "Printing Scout" which means, it should help to just turn SNMP off.

You can do this by rightclicking on the printer driver -> Properties -> Configuration -> SNMP Bi-Directional Communication.

This is a lil different depending on what operating system you use.
