This is what happens:

Jam 2

After the trailing edge of the paper passes the feed sensor, the paper does not pass the exit sensor after the specified time.

If the paper exits the machine before the jam occurs then the sensor is probably defective, you can do as following:

1. Check if the exit sensor actuator is defective.

• Check if the actuator exit is distorted (Check if the lever part is distorted).

• Check whether burrs occur on the assembly part of the actuator exit and if the actuator operates smoothly.

Replace Actuator Exit.

• Check if foreign matters and wire are interfering with the operation of the actuator exit’s.

Also have you tried a new ream of paper?

Just simple troubleshooting to see what you've done etc.

I came up here such problem with Xerox WorkCetre PE16:
printing almost always dont take the paper from the automatic document feeder tray, and the screen says "Jam 02", which means according to the instructions, "Jam in the paper exit tray or manual feed slot." Helps to open / close the front cover .. then can print one page, sometimes more, but almost always - again the same "Jam 02".
It is worth noting that nowhere is absolutely no paper jam, neither in the tray or the front cover (shot cartridge), nor in the paper exit area or under the back cover - check it!

So as not proficient in that can tell in what way it can be resolved without service? And does it really?
