I tried what you told me. The problem is still here. And on the printer's panel, every print stay in "data processing" (traitement de données in french).
And the printer prints after 15 minutes.
well, thats the cause of your delay
try chaning driver? because sending a file of 700 mb, that takes long to rip
if you open up printer properties, goto advanced tab, uncheck 'advanced printing features"
if that doesnt help
goto port tab, , configure port, try changing from raw to lpr, with queue name lp
I will investigate this solution yes. But I would like to know why it worked well before and today prints are very slow without any reason ?
Concerning spoolfile, for example, I have a pdf 35Mo, and when I print I can see it's 700Mo ...
how to check the spool: well, if you want print from your windows client, just open up the print icon in your taskbar, then it shows all job in queue, there you can actually see if your pdf is growing in size
because spoolsize can be a bigger then the actual size
i think thats your isse
PS works best with PDF files (postscript)
isnt it possible to buy the PS kit? you have a good machine, you can make it a lot better with the PS kit, thats what the machine was meant for :)
How can i check how big is my spoolfile ?
I try all drivers, pcl6, global print. I can't use PS because xerox 560 doesn't provide it.
Thanks for you answer
maybe its your spoolfile causing the issue? how big is it?
maybe you can try to update the driver, for 550 i use the global PS, no issues here
Hello,
We are a french company. And we have troubles with our Xerox 560 printer.
Since few weeks, prints are very slow especially PDF files. And when it prints, it's one by one, with a pause between each sheet.
Here is a history of the actions we have taken :
Drivers relocation, change of rj45 rope, change of ethernet plug, change of switch port, change of the switch, a technician went and changed the network card, and the OS is the lastest.
Is anybody encounters this kind of problem ? thank you in advance
