toner density/images washed out

You may have already tried this, but here is an article that has some steps to resolve Faded/Washed Out Image Quality.

color density or poor coverage of toner has become a major issue. Technicians have been on site since install regarding this issue but the issue remains. Is there a way to increase how much ink is laid on the paper, can we turn up color so it fills the printed areas better. We had Versant 2100s before and never had this issue
