Hi Xerox Community,
I'm here with an update to my problem:
After a while the stipes were not so prominent anymore, so I left the device as it was.
A short while later it took a turn for the worse. The stripes are now so strong that I practically can`t use the device for my business communications for now.
I considered simply buying a drum unit as suggested by CathyO-Xerox, but first I wanted to determine if there was any other possible cause for my issue.
So I took it upon myself to disassemble some relevant parts. What I noticed at first glance was, that the transfer belt held the same, black stripes as all the printed documents. When I disassembled the "lip" that is supposed to remove the leftover toner, there was even a heap of toner particles.
Is the most probable cause for my issue still the drum unit? Or is something else more likely.
Best regards - silver
Hello silver,
It looks like you need to replace the drum unit.
Hello Xerox,
I bought a new Xerox WorkCentre 6515 a little more than a year ago. (09.12.2020)
Since the last few jobs, all pages are marked with a black, vertical stripe. This line spans the whole page and appears with each print job, whether it is a "copy" job or a "print" job from PDF e.g.
I attatched an example page for reference.
Unfortunately, no option in the support menu seems to solve the issue. I already tried "Reinigung Entwicklungs-/Übertragungswalze" (probably "clean transfer belt" in English) three times, to no use.
I have no idea how to fix this issue. Hovever, I noticed something:
The transfer belt dons the exact same stripe that appears on all the pages.
Hope you can help me - best regards
