hi
i have a pc with windows xp installed on it.
connected to that computer is the xerox workcentre pe220 laser printer.
i am trying to use network sharing in order to print from my laptop.
the laptop runs windows 7 64 bit.
while trying to connect to the printer over the network, i receive the following message:
"windows can't find a driver for xerox workcentre pe220 seriex on the network. to locate one manually..."
it asks for a *inf file, and wants to copy it from: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\Realtek Windows NIC Driver\win7", but it does not exist.
i tried downloading and installing drivers for the pe220 printer (on both computers) from the xerox website, but with no success.
i also tried accessing the printer via connecting to the home pc computer via the network, but that didn't work either.
can anyone help me resolve this issue?
