Postscript is a purchasable option on the 4112, it is a combination of hardware as well as software, you cannot in any way just program it to use Postscript. They will need to find their paperwork with the feature enablement code that activates the hardware in the device assuming it is still there, or contact Xerox to buy another PS Kit, it is not free.
Does anyone know how to set the language emulation on a xerox 4112 so that it will accept postscript.
I have a customer and teh hardrive in their 4112 dies. so they replaced it and now when they send postscript jobs to it, it starts with the PS pling type characters and just prints garbage basically ...
The printer is also used for PCL, so its can't be dedicated to PS. I don't have the option of going onsite to poke about on the panel of the printer. Or the inclination to be honest... I support the software which prints toteh device, not the hardware itself.
Hope someone can help - at the moment the customer is blaming the software that I support ,... which outputs in PS only.
