Re: 4590 accounting issue

Completely remove all drivers and get rid of any ports you have created on the new server to this device.

Download and install this driver.

Once installed go to Start > Devices and printers and right-click the printer and go to Printer Properties.

Go to Configuration > Detailed User Settings and set it to Prompt User for Settings > OK > Apply > OK

4590 accounting issue

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello,

I have a 4590. I am trying to switch from a windows  server 2003 (which the driver works fine with accounting. I am using the 4590 PS driver) to server 2012 R2. On 2012 R2 I am am using the Global PS. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. I have also tried the Global PCL6 still accounting won't work.

In addition, I have tried a windows 7 x64 4590 specific and it wont let me put it on under new driver in the driver properties. Furthermore, I noticed under accounting it says accounting enabled, but not Xerox Standard Accounting. it is either disabled or accounting enabled.

Yes, accounting is on the printer and it works fine from the 2003 server. It does not ask for account ID on the 2003 but it does on the 2012 R2 in addition to the user id.
