Accounting Access Code via VBA

Product Name: Xerox AltaLink C8030 / C8035 / C8045 / C8055 / C8070 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 7 x64

Hi. We just switched to the AltaLink C8035 and the technician has just enabled access codes.

The problem now is that every time that we print something an access code has to be entered on the computer.

We run batch jobs overnight once our office is closed so that the output is printed and ready for us in the morning. The batch process can result in over 200 documents needing to be printed individually.

The technican said that the code could be programmatically sent with the print command. However he did not know how to do this.

Or is there a way to not ask for the code every time?

Could someone please assist? The program is written in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).

On a side note, on our previous machine from another manufacturer the access code was setup in the printing preferences and stayed there until we changed it. We did not have to enter an access code every time we wanted to print from our computers (unless we used secure print).

Re: Accounting Access Code via VBA

You can set it just like the other one had it, just in the Printer Properties instead of Printing Preferences.

If need be, have the app use an independant printer install using this configuration of regular users are going to be using the same PC to print and still need the prompt.
