Re: B205/CentreWare default password (s/n) not accepted

Jump to solution

Hi CathyO,

The below did not work fully. Turning on/off did not solve the problem. CentreWare reported (as before) that password is set as default, but does not accept device S/N as password.

Resetting printer network settings required (for whatever reason) either access to CWIS which I cannot log in, or Easy Printer Manager through advanced device setting, but this option was also unavailable because device needed to be configured in CWIS!

In the end I connected directly through USB cable, reset network settings through Easy Print Manager (connecting through USB allows Advanced Settings), rebooted the printer, and after that the CWIS worked. Phew!

B205/CentreWare default password (s/n) not accepted

Product Name: Xerox B205 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Hi,

I recently got Xerox B205 printer and it's working all right, except that I cannot login to CentreWare Internet Services. As per screenshot below, entering default password (serial number) results in a pop-up that says "input fields are invalid". I tried other combinations, including 1111, machine name, etc.; various "new passwords"; different browsers - nothing works. Very frustrating! Appreciate any advice.
