Re: Can't logon as local admin to device - logon as local admin when device off network

Can you connect directly to the machine with a workstation or laptop via Ethernet and set up the PC on a static IP within the old subnet?

That should give you the option to config new IP setup from the web ui.

Depending on the PC, you may be able to get away with using a patch cable. Otherwise you’ll need a crossover.

Re: Can't logon as local admin to device - logon as local admin when device off network

Hello edmedi,

As far as I know, there is no way to get to the embedded web server without an valid IP address.

Thanks,

Can't logon as local admin to device - logon as local admin when device off network

Product Name: WorkCentre 7830/7835/7845/7855
Operating System: Not Specified

Is there a way I can logon to an Equitrac enabled device as local admin when it's off the network?

I have a devcie that needs it's network reconfigured as it is now in a new location and new network, i'm unable to connect through web portal as it has an old static IP address and if I try logon locally it attempts to connect to Equitrac first but fails with a communication error and won't let me enter any credentials. Is there any way to force it to bypass teh equitrac stage so I can get the local credentrials entered?

Thanks

EM
