I got my T460 used about a month ago, and didn't think much of the smart card reader. However, after looking at other pictures of Thinkpads, it appears there is a Smart Card in my laptop already? I don't really know what it is used for and a Google search got me no where. D

Hi there,

We have a number of our Altalink devices enrolled into Xerox Workplace Suite and setup with card readers so that our users must authenticate.

I've noticed that on a handful of devices, when a user authenticates to the Xerox machine using their keyfob, their full name "First Last" is displayed in the upper left corner. However on other machines, the same user will auth using the same keyfob and it will instead display their network username.

Is there a configuration option in the machine that controls what field shows up when a user authenticates via card reader?

Much thanks.
