Re: CentreWare Web migration

I cannot restore the database on the new VM because the config_utility.exe crashes.

I cloned the VM and will try upgrading to see what happens.

Re: CentreWare Web migration

dont  think you will loose data if you uninstall, since its saved in the database

what happens if you do a clean install on the new VM? is it working then? so after you restore the database, its showing those errors?

CentreWare Web migration

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Two questions:

One: I have v5.12.14 installed and I need to move data to the new VM with v5.16.2, so I figured I would need to upgrade in place, first; however I get a message indicating that I must remove the old version before installing the new. Will I lose data?

I can backup the database, but I understand the database schema may change between minor versions, so I don't know if that will help.

Two, I used the config_utility in v5.12.14 without any issue to backup and restore the database; but, while fiddling with v5.16.2 on the new VM, I get several errors with the config_utility:

--- when it starts, I get a dialog saying "index was outside the bounds of the array"

--- if I try to backup the database, I get an application crash message

--- if I try to restore the database, I get the "index was outside the bounds of the array" dialog, as above
