Re: Centreware Web - failing to authenticate "CWW Edit Device Admin" users

I was provided the following info from Xerox CentreWare Web support:

It appears that the group is not functional in the 5.9.22 release.

If the group was functioning… “The CWW Edit Device Admin may edit printers, troubleshoot, run configuration sets, and reset printers.”

That’s what the certification guide says anyways, but it appears to be bugged.   It’s a new group that was added in 5.8.x, but It appears it might have been disabled in the 5.9.x release.

Thanks but the product support page wasn't helpful. Still trying to get support via email but that's been slow.

Centreware Web - failing to authenticate "CWW Edit Device Admin" users

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have Xerox Centreware Web version 5.9.22 installed.  I've added a handful of users.  A couple to "CWW Administrators" and a few to the "CWW Edit Device Admin" group.

Before today, all users could login via the web interface.   Starting today, the users in the "CWW Edit Device Admin" group can no longer authenticate.

I've restarted the server.  That didn't help.

I moved one user into the higher level group and that fixed it but that is not a permanent solution.

What might be causing this?
