Last week, I installed, from the APP store, "Xerox Printer Software Update 2.3" and since then I cannot get anything to print from my MAC. I get the "Invalid Accounting ID" message when I know I am using a valid id. None of the window-based computers are having this problem and it started once I installed this new software from Xerox. So, here's what I've done. I downloaded and installed Xerox Print Driver 2.94.3 from Xerox and still get the same problem.
I work at a church and we are dead-in-the-water since all of our MACs are having the same problem. Does anyone have a solution? Someone from Xerox support services (Image Source) is coming tomorrow to fix it, but I wonder. Any help from the community would be apprecaited; I have to pay for this visit and would rather get the fix here and avoid another bill.
The problem you report is not only on colorqubes but it has occured also on workcentre 75xx models.
I also downloaded the latest drivers from xerox website (2.94.3) and reinstalled my printer, but it coninues me printing the error notice even if the ids are correct.
2 7545 printers and the same problem (see other post i made on that). You can download older drivers (2.77 can be found here) and just install these "above" the drivers that are on there now and tell all your users NOT to update to the new xerox drivers when pointed to do so unless Xerox fixes their drivers and you can test this first.
I have over 50 computers affected in our setup and guess who can do the manual reinstall of all the old drivers?
