I brought these solutions up already to the client that I work for. It was a no go. Very high security. They don't want to give any opportunity for someone to be able to print freely, even if I am able to do what you suggested.

I wasted a lot of breath, trying to show the clients on how secure I could make it. When set in thier tracks, hard to change.

Why don’t you just give this user/application a direct print driver for the specific printer out with EQ?

Or a separate Direct queue through EQ which will still account for the volumes for printing only?

Hey Cheryl,

I did look through the Nuance site trying to find what I was looking for, and I couldn't find anything with reference to Single User pass through printing.

I wish they had a support forum in which I would've been able to join.

For the time being, what I did was add users as delegates to an account, in which they all can release the documents for this one account.

Just personal knowledge. I don't think it would be possible, Just never know ;-)

Just looking for confirmation!!

I am think I am good with reference with the working of Nuance Equitrac print management.

I was posed a question about setting up a single user ID to be able to print through Equitrac without security, but everyone else must be secured when attempting to release print jobs.

In Equitrac I couldn’t find a config setting where I could tell a device to allow a curtain user id to print with out prompting jobs to be released.

Here is what I am thinking as a work around.

I setup the main Printer / EQ port with all the security that is needed.

Setup a secondary port with the disabled security in EQ for tracking print jobs.

If anyone knows of something else, it would be great.
