Hi SteveG,
I am happy the admin issue is resolved. If you have time, please give the post a kudo, consideres anwsered so that more users can trust this solution has worked.
In regards to job built while attempt to complete a copy job, I find difficult that EQ has anything to do with it. It could be a coincidence that it happened at the same time that EQ was installed.
Equitrac provides and authentication layer to the device and/or applications. It does not interfere with device functionalatiies in a direct way (being color control and exception). So all feature on copy module (functionality) such operate as per DEVICE configuration, onde authenticated and authorized by EQ.
1. If you loging with and admin user and have the same problem in copy you can suspect that is a device issue. Please let us know what model are you working with.
2. You can remove secure access from authentication settings and unlock all features and see if this makes any difference to the copy features. (you are now EQ free. make sure to reconfigure authentication and tools access back before using EQ).
Hi RUI thanks for the reply this worked fine thanks, i do have another quick question, i had had the user call and say they are unable now to do sample sets or job build whilst copying, this is since the equitrac has been installed would you have an idea why this would be the case?
thnaks
Hi SteveG,
On EQ Manager create a user, username= the device administrator username, Primary Pin= password of the device administrator.
This way you can use alternate logon on the devices and login as admin.
If you do not use alternate logon, than you can use a swipecard or any other authentication technology in use for that user.
We have installed Equitrac with Xerox MFD, how do we logon to the devices using the device admin account?
