Re: Global User Accounts Across Multiple Machines

Hi jax,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the information about cloning in the System Aministrator guide.  The information begins on page 33.  You should be able to create a clone file of the accounting information and transfer it to all the machines assuming they all have the same software version. That will save you time because you will not have to input the information on the individual machines.

As for the users and groups if you are talking about e-mail or internet fax public address books then yes this can be done.  For instructions please look at page 256 in the online System Administrator guide

If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Global User Accounts Across Multiple Machines

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have 4 WorkCentre 5765 machines and would like to know if there is a way to set  up a single user list for standard accounting (similar to Microsoft active Directory) that can be access by all machines without having to set up duplicate accounts on each machine.  Also, is there a way to create users and groups then upload them into the system (CSV, txt, etc).
