Re: HTTPS settings

I believe the self generated certificate needs to be installed on the pc, not on the printer. The printer can't possibly knows that it has been used to generate a certificate. How can I have a few hundreds printers that are correctly set (https) and the same amount that are not?

Re: HTTPS settings

I responded correctly, that setting relies on having a device certificate generated, which is a certificate that cannot be cloned, which means that setting cannot function in a clone file.

Re: HTTPS settings

Hi Joe, What I meant is not saving the certificate itself but the wanted setting...

Re: HTTPS settings

HTTPs relies on certificates. And since Self Signed certificates are not included in Clone files <see CWIS omits them>

So, Not included = highlighted, Included = underlined

As for XDM, I have no idea, I've not used it

HTTPS settings

Product Name: WorkCentre 7830/7835/7845/7855
Operating System: Windows 10 x64
I have this issues with some clone files. The HTTPS setting (80 vs 443) doesn't seem to be save in clone files. How do I set all printers (950) to have HTTPS selected? My clones for different models were created with static IP and HTTPS set. When I push this clone to other printers, the HTTPS bit doesn't follow. It's kept the way it was set before sending the clone. Can I use XDM to set the ones still at HTTP? In XDM, is there a way to filter only HTTP printers to create a group instead of adding them manually?
