Thanks Cheryl, they told me to reset the NVRAM - which is a real pain, as you have to reenter all the settings for the device :-(
I was hoping someone else may know better!
Alas, I will have to hit the NVRAM button I think.
Thanks, Peter
Hi MSMLondon,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance on resetting the Color Copy Password.
On the 8860MFP you can enter a PIN for color copying on the control panel. I did this, and then tried to copy in color, and it asked me for the PIN. But the PIN I had programmed, did not work.
So I went back to the control panel to change the PIN, but in order to do this, you have to enter the original PIN, which it does not accept.
It could be that I am putting the wrong PIN; but it was a very simple one. But in any event, I need to change the PIN, and if you put the wrong PIN in to change it, it will not all that!
I hope I don't have the reset the NVRAM, as that would be a pain having to reenter all my settings :-(
Many thanks for your help in advance.
