Accounting is hidden on the device.
Note: This accounting will only track up to 50 accounts and will only track number of Black and White and number of Color Prints made.
- Log in to CWIS using the following address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/frameprinter.htm
- Check Enabled on the Print Auditron option.
- If users should still be able to print without an Account check enabled for Non-account Print.
- Select Save changes and click restart printer.
- Follow on screen instructions to refresh page.
Adding and Editing User accounts
- Log in to CWIS using the following address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/frameprinter.htm
- Select Edit User Account
- Enter number for the account to be altered. (1-50)
- Click the Edit Button.
- Enter a User Name
- Enter a Password
- Re-enter Password
- Select Color Access.
- Note: If set to Black only color cannot be printed no matter what the color limit is set to.
- Enter Color Print Limit
- Enter Black Print Limit
- Select save Changes
Configuring the print Driver
In the Print Driver (Windows):
- In Printers and Faxes/ Devices and Printers right click on the printers Icon and select Printer Properties.
- In Properties window select Configuration tab.
- Under the Accounting heading select system and set to Send user ID only.
- If Users need to enter Credentials each time:
- Set Print-Time Prompt to Always Prompt and set Remember Last Entered Codes to Disabled.
- If settings are saved on the Users computer:
- Set Print-Time Prompt to Do Not Prompt and click Accounting Codes and Setup to enter User Id and Passcode.
In the Print Driver (Mac ):
- Open a Document and go to the File menu and select print.
- Use settings drop down to select Xerox Features.
- Use next drop down under Xerox Features to select Advanced.
- Click the Accounting Button.
- Set Accounting System to Enabled.
- If Users need to enter Credentials each time:
- Set Accounting Prompt to Always Prompt.
- If settings are saved on the Users computer:
- Set Accounting Prompt to Do Not Prompt and enter User Id and Passcode.
- Click OK
