I'm not certain, but I am pretty sure this device requires a tech to wipe back to the defaults.
I might have missed something or is there a step in this process I'm missing? I can reset network settings fine, but which feature clears out all settings, phone book entries, logs, etc, to begin new again?
Hi,
Resetting the Printer to Factory Default Settings
To restore network settings back to the factory default values, use the Network Factory Default
option.
Caution: If you reset the printer to factory default settings, all settings, including network
connections, are lost immediately.
Before you perform any updates or changes on the printer, it is recommended to print a current
Configuration Report. The report lists the current software or firmware version installed on the printer.
For details, refer to Printing the Configuration Report.
To restore your printer to factory default settings, perform the following steps:
1. In Xerox® CentreWare® Internet Services, click Status→General.
2. To restore the original network default settings, click Network Factory Default.
3. To confirm, click OK.
Note: If you upgraded your printer firmware recently or you reset the printer to the factory
default settings, you are required to change the system administrator password. Refer to
Changing the System Administrator Password.
