Hi Marcello,
There is a way to do this as long as you are at the latest General Release firmware located here on Xerox.com (081.140.103.20700).
Directions on how to upgrade your firmware are located here.
Once you are at that firmware version, in a web browser, type in:
http://<device-IP>/diagnostics/AccessControl.php
Once the new page loads, check the box that says, "Restrict CWIS Access", then apply the settings. You may need to close your browser completely or clear your cookies as the admin password could be stored in your browser.
Once that setting is enabled, anyone that tries to access the 6700 web interface will just see an admin login request instead of the default pages. Once you log in as admin, everything works as normal until you log out.
Hope this helps.
We just bouhght a XEROX PHASER 6700 DT in our office.
I set the administrator password and prevent the other users from accessing the configuration pages via browser.
However I just noticed that anybody is able to clear the job accounting records....
Is it possible to prevent normal users to see and clear job accounting records?
thanks in advance
