So it is not possible to have a credential prompt who check on a LDAP server everytime they want to print.

Driver will only prompt via Xerox Standard Accounting, or Xerox Network Accounting,

Active Directory can only be used to create authorization groups for color, and it won't prompt, it will take the ability to print color from the PC itself via the currently logged in user.

Xerox Standard Accounting is done in the printer itself

Xerox network Accounting is for off printer methods like Print Safe, Equitrac, Card readers, CAC, Equitrac etc.

Hi everyone

I work in a school, and for the teacher there is two computers out of the domain.

I created their account in my Active Directory server. I installed a network printer on a print server (who is installed on server 2012 R2).

I would like to know how it is possible to configure my print server or the client to ask for authentification every time a teacher wants to print something.

So I enabled accountig on my Printer Xerox WorkCentre 5745. And I configure this printer to normally contact the LDAP for the authentification, but, I have the xerox authentication when I ask to print but, it doesnt work and I have a paper with account system error.

I just want to count how much each teacher print every month !
