Wanna know how to actually fix it? It is by far the dumbest fix I have come across, but it works on all the Connectkey products.
Set USB to powered during sleep mode
I don't remember when this issue became a thing, just that it has been there for years, I assume since they made the feature available, which was done because people had to wake the device before their card reader would work in secure environments, but by default, it is disabled (un-powered)
I don't believe it is any different in the current firmware release.
I saw something like this before, Not on that model. Check under Properties -> General Setup -> Energy Saver.
Something could've gotten changed, If you have a good clone, you could try recloning the machine first to see if it fixes the issue.

Have TCP/IP network WC 7220. Long time it's work perfectly, but not long ago, it not awake after sleep-mode, and only reboot on buttons can help start printing and scanning. Have 3 machines, and all of them have this troble. Problem repeating every day from last week.
