Re: OS X Xerox Driver update 2.3 - Accounting Problem

I wonder if any solution - other than downgrading the driver - has been found for this by now.... anyone?

Re: OS X Xerox Driver update 2.3 - Accounting Problem

until xerox osx driver newest release fixes it, install 201301 driver release found here:

older (10.5) osx are not affected.

Re: OS X Xerox Driver update 2.3 - Accounting Problem

We are experiencing the same issue. Many of our users can not print since this patch was applied. Is there a workaround for this until a certified Xerox fix is released?

Re: OS X Xerox Driver update 2.3 - Accounting Problem

Dear Cheryl,

I have not been able to find any solution and had looked through the knowledgebase even before starting to post my question (as I mentioned trying out other solutions i had found there). We have several people stuck who can not print due to faulty Xerox drivers which seem to be incompattible with the Xerox accounting system. I have contacted phone support who could tell me nothing else than "we are aware of the problem but there is no fix right now and we do not know when there will be a fix."

There are other people with the same problem in different threads on this forum so clearly our business is not the only one who has problems with the Xerox Multifunctionals and the Accountign system.

I hope the solution will be available very soon as this is getting pretty ridiculous from a customers point of view when you can apparently not trust the updates of official drivers.

Re: OS X Xerox Driver update 2.3 - Accounting Problem

I am having the exact same issues with my macs on a Xerox ColoQube 9301 starting this week. Windows units are fine and older macs seem to be ok. Were you able to find a resolution other than disabling accounting?

OS X Xerox Driver update 2.3 - Accounting Problem

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

A recent update of mac osX pushed the drivers 2.94.1 to all Apple users.

Our setup: 2x Xerox 7545

Our problem: since the update all users who updated get "The job was deleted due to invalid accounting IDs".

When disabling the accounting for printing, this error does not happen (obviously).

When using older printer drivers this error does not happen either.

I have found other threads where it was mentioned that the cups driver page needs to have the accounting on in default settings; this is the case for these printers but still there is the same error.

I have tried updating to the 2.94.3 drivers as found on the Xerox drivers page but the error persists.

Any help on this issue would be very welcome.

K.
