We changed the admin password on or Versalink C500 and now we cannot access the printer. Does anyone know how to reset the printer to factory defaults?

You can't reset it yourself without providing Admin credentials, you will need to call Xerox and have them do it.
yes , its indeed a verry complicated process now on versalink
you need to give the counters, they based on those counters you will get a printfile, that you can print with a small utility, then the password is resetted
Xerox sent someone out here for $300 to reset it. Basically, if you lose it - consder if it is worth purchasing a new printer or having it reset.
Can you also outline the number to call? Is there also a way to initiate the request thru the Support portal?

Do not listen to these people. If you call Xerox, they will not help you unless you pay them. That's right, they will not allow you to reset your password unless you pay them. Imagine if Gmail said you had to pay them to reset your email password. It's ridiculous.
All you'll have to do is factory reset the Versalink C500 by going into "Diagnostic Mode". This will allow you to reset everything and then setup the printer as if it was brand new.
To enter the Diagnostic Mode:
old device set password 1111
new device set password serial nuber device
