Re: Standard Accounting freezes at validation

The original machine is gone. I used the clone option simply to eleminate the need to re-enter all of the SA codes again. Looking at the nmew machines firmware, it is 21.120.052.0, which is the most updated, at least where I can find. The other machine was up to date I'm sure of it, does the clone not work properly if the firmware doesn't match up?

Re: Standard Accounting freezes at validation

can you print 2 configuration reports and then you can compare whats different?

maybe one machine is running on a different firmware level then the other?

also, i always try to not use the clone feature , maybe you can start from scratch without the clone?

Standard Accounting freezes at validation

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello all,

I am setting up standard accounting on a recent WC5135 one-for-one swap, the machine is an exact clone of the one it replaced, where SA was already set up.

When I enable SA on the new machine, it does some wacky things. Printing to the machine does not work, the drivers are set up on each PC correctly, as it worked with the last machine (same model as I said) The error sheet says an incorrect accounting ID

When trying to log on the the machine for copy/scan, the machine gets hung up at the "validating account" or "validation in progress," whichever it is. It was hugn up like this for between 10-15 minutes before I had to reboot it.

What could be the issue? Without SA it works perfect, and I have verified 3 times over that SA is set up correctly on the 5135 and in print drivers. I can't think of any other information that could help narrow it down.

Thanks in advance!
