SMTP2Go seems to be the workaround of choice. It was used at a massive scale when MS and Google implemented SHA2 and most printers didn't.
There are lots of threads in this forum about it
Thank you very much for the quick response.
This WC 7556 is using an O365 email account to send emails from. June 2020 comes (in the next few months), this copier will lose its ability to send an email out.... A 3rd party email address (outside of O365)... will do the trick.
Thank you again!
The answer is somewhat.
the WC7556 has the ability to use TLS v1.2 for web activity, under the hood, mail activity uses TLS v1.0.
So yeah it is, but not how you want it to be (probably)
As for what the future holds, I can't say, the printer is not out of development quite yet, but it is far from actively developed for new features
This Xerox 7556 has System Software: 061.121.229.18600
I do not see it anywhere that it is capable of TLS 1.2
Is it capable of TLS 1.2? Is there or will there be an updated Software coming soon that includes TLS 1.2?
Thank you very much in advance,
Charlie
