Thanks for the response Joe,

I'm not sure this is what the partner will want to hear, but thanks anyway...

AltaLink is a family of printers, so when an AltaLink gets them, it will almost certainly be the next generation of them that does.

Xerox never states release dates for new features, if they stated today that they had a new generation built and would start selling it in 3 months, people wouldn't buy the current machines, and if they missed the release date due to any issue, people would be angry. So they just don't bother to mention anything.

My guess, and it is only that, is that they would be willing to build and sell an upgrade kit to the existing devices, but it would require enough demand to be financially beneficial to the company to do it. That demand would only be discovered if people were to call and ask for it officially via a Feature Enhancement Request (FER)

TPM Chip on AltaLink Devices

Hi,

I can see from the below guide that VersaLink devices have TPM chips included. However, AltaLink devices do not at present - "TPM Chip (Not Currently Supported)".

https://securitydocs.business.xerox.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Office_Alta_Versa_Security_Guide_...

I had a question from a channel partner today asking when this might be added to the AltaLinks.

Can you please advise if it is planned to add TPM chips to AltaLink devices and if so, when that might be?

Many thanks in advance,

Glenn
