Can you tell me how you did this? I am having the same issue.
thx
no problem
We were able to configure everything so it works now.
Thanks all for your help!
can you post some screens of your setup?
also make sure on the ldap settings on the xerox machine, goto user mappings, make sure user/login name = setup as SAMACCOUNTNAME , default its setup to UID
ty again !
I have added an ldap group with a full access user role on the machine. When i'm trying to test and find the user (if it is a member of this group), i found no member or i got an unknow error.
thats indeed also possible
but on c60 (fuji controller) its still possible to login as local system account
on connectkey, once xerox secure access (papercut) is enabled, is not possible to logon locally anmore
so you need to use our suggestions
Try this:
Hi,
Ty for your response.
The problem is we need to be connected on a admin local Xerox account for activated some fonctions via the service tools (like a fax).
With the Xerox C60 we can do this but not with 5945/7830. Papercut got the same configuration between both printer. With the C60 we can access on this mode by pressing user account button. With the 5945/7830 pressing the same button do nothing... Im talking about the top right access button on the screen.
Ty
when papercut is installed, you are doing remote authentication
therefore dont use admin / 1111 anymore
but use admin as login
for the password, use the password you setup on the admin account of papercut :)
also make sure that in papercut you enabled username/password as an authentcation option
alternative if you are using ldap security, you can make ldap user roles on the machine
so you can give admin access to the machine to some specific ldap groups
Hello all
We have multiples Xerox copiers on place (WC5945/W7830), and are working with Papercut installed. We have some adjustments to do on some machines, but are unable to access admin mode. Anybody have a hint on this?
I hope somebody will be able to help, thanks in advance!
