Hi jtsilver,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. First power the machine off for 1 minute and then turn it back on and see if that fixes the issue. Please make sure that the firmware on your machine is upgraded to the newest level that was posted on August 12, 2020. If that does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
In the meantime you can use the secure print feature for all your users so can not access a job in the queue without a passcode to release the document. Instructions for using secure print are in the User Guide.
Hello,
We have 3 new AltaLink C8145s that are using PaperCut-MF and RFID Card readers to authenticate on the device. There has been an issue where users are walking up to the device and deleting other in-progress jobs that do not belong to them, because they don't want to stand around and wait for them to complete. Is it possible to make it so that logged in users can delete their own jobs, but not jobs submitted by others?
I have figured out how to disable job deletion entirely... While that seemed like a good idea at the time, it just lead to a bunch of jobs getting stuck in the queue, and a couple of users who accidentally hit "100" instead of "10" and could not do anything to stop it.
If what I'm asking can't be done, is there a log that I can view that shows exactly which user cancelled a particular job? This way I could at least identify the culprit(s) and talk to them about copier courtesy :)
Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
