Re: Using Secure Print with XSA

Hello CBHB,

I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Software Specialist to see if there is a work around. Please call 1-800-821-2797

Thanks,

Using Secure Print with XSA

Product Name: VersaLink C405 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Not Specified

With our Altalink printers, which have XSA turned on, when we send to Secure Print, and release the job from the copier control panel it prints immediately using the Accounting User ID which was entered into the printer driver from the computer.

With our Versalink Printer, instead of the job printing when you release it, the copier prompts...

"Enter ID to enable Accounting"

And gives you three choices:

"1. Cancel"

"2. Ok" - makes us login using our account ID

"3. Start Job Without Accounting" - fails to print because we're requiring account codes

Is there a work-around here to make the Versalink operate like the Altalink? It seems that the account code gets dropped when the job is stored in the Secure box. If we send to the copier using Normal Print the account codes are received fine and the job prints right away.
